Yorta Yorta (VIC) and Kamilaroi (NSW) man, Lance Atkinson, works as a landscape painter who is inspired by his family, the environment and animals. He lives and works in Victoria. In Tribal Expressions: The Business of Art and Culture in Indigenous Victoria, published in 2006, he states that he is inspired by his “family and the Murray (River), the smell of the life forming.”
