Illustrator, author, art critic and more who was born in Perth. He attended the University of Western Australia and studied art under J. W. R. Linton. He wrote for the West Australian and moved to Queensland where he published many popular and beautifully illustrated children’s books on Australian fauna. Rees’ wife Coralie Clarke had been an art student at Perth Technical School. He was active in mass media, social science, the performing arts, literature, radio drama as an editor & producer, drama historian, critic and dramatist.
