Luritja speaker raised by her uncle Paddy Carroll, who taught her to paint in the late 1980s, when she was a frequent visitor to his Three Mile outstation. She and her husband reside in Mt Allan.
Born in 1958, Lilly Norman is the niece of Papunya artist Paddy Carroll, who raised her as his daughter and taught her to paint. Her tribal affiliation is Luritja. She paints the Witchetty Dreaming for her country Kunatjarrayi. She also paints Bush Plum, Bush Onion and the Mt Wedge Women’s Corroboree. She has been painting since 1988. She is married to Allan Norman, and lives mostly in Mt Allan, though spends time visiting her uncle in Papunya or his outstation.
