Luca Gansser is the director of the not-for-profit Arte Moris art school in Dili, Timor Leste. Gansser founded Arte Moris in 2003 with a view “to use art as a building block in the psychological and social reconstruction of a country devastated by violence, with special emphasis on helping its young citizens” (www.artemoris.org). Born in Bogata, Columbia Gansser is from Lugarno, the Italian-speaking Canton of Switzerland. Gansser has exhibited extensively around the world since 1970. He is the ultimate nomad, travelling from one place to the next, imparting his artistic knowledge and absorbing many different cultures.
