Lucy Forsberg is a Brisbane-based artist who works with new media, assemblage and sculpture to examine socio-political issues involving the Australian landscape.

Forsberg spent her formative years on a cattle farm in Moorak, an area located on the outskirts of Mount Gambier in rural South Australia. After moving to Brisbane in 2009 and regularly travelling between the two locations, the contrasting elements of the metropolitan and rural environments have become impetus for creating work.
Her most recent bodies of artworks are informed by research on the resource economy and it’s role in the development and shaping of the land.
