Warlpiri artist who painted for Warlukurlangu Artists, often with his wife, Clarice Poulson. Together they produced ornate canvases with small meticulous white dotting. His work has been included in exhibitions throughout Australia.
A Warlpiri speaker, Michael Japangardi Poulson lived in Yuendumu. He and his wife, Clarise Nampijinpa Poulson, began painting for Warlukurlangu Artists at the end of the ’80s, often working together on ornate canvases with small meticulous white dotting. Michael Poulson 's main Dreamings were Yurrampi (Honey Ant) and Warnayarra/Pikilyi (Rainbow Serpent/Vaughan Springs). He exhibited with Warlukurlangu Artists in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin and Alice Springs.
