Alyawarre artist, and member of the Amperlatwatye community, who worked with batik before taking up painting with other Utopia artists in the late 1980s.
An Alyawarre speaker, her country is Antarrengenye, north of the area of Irrweltye towards Ammaroo. She paints a Wild Orange Dreaming amongst others, and like most Utopia artists, had already worked in batik before the CAAMA Summer Project of ’88-9 when she first tried acrylic on canvas. She is associated with the community of Amperlatwatye and is one of a large number of Alyawarre people from this area who bear the name 'Holmes’.
