Mick Pfund was born during the late nineteenth century, c.1893. He was a South Australian photographer based in the rural town of Eudunda, northeast of Adelaide, where he operated a studio.

Several glass-plate negatives made by Pfund survive, which are held in the Noye Collection, at the Art Gallery of South Australia. Two additional photographs, also held in the Noye Collection, illustrate interior and exterior views of Pfund’s studio. The photographer himself appears in both of these images.
