painter, Melbourne. Exhibited Australian Artists Association winter exhibition 1887: no.2 'There’s Nothing New under the Sun’ (picture of a fortune teller).

Exhibited in the Melbourne Centennial International Exhibition 1888-9 and won Jury awards (Oil and Watercolour paintings) for Sitting in State (2nd order of merit), and Gretchen (3rd order of merit). Her address is listed in the Official Record as 8 Planet Chambers, Collin-st east, Melbourne. Another work exhibited with these in the Victorian Artists’ Gallery (Oil Paintings) no.104 was Fruit .

Watercolours exhibited in the Victorian Gallery, Melbourne Exhibition 1888: “Nor will the fruit piece by Miss Chapman … be passed without regard by visitors” ( Illustrated Sydney News , 27 September 1888, p.6).

Listed in Sands 1889-1918.
