art student, was a student in the Art Society of NSW classes under A.J. Daplyn when he won second prize for his drawing from life: 'Mr Chambers has produced one or two good drawings from life, the most notable of which is the nude figure of a girl’ ( Sydney Morning Herald 12 July 1889, 8).
