Art student. At a competition held by the trustees of the National Art Gallery of NSW Mr H.E. Chambers was awarded 'the first prize, £5, for the best nude study from life … [and] who also sends one or two good contributions to the section of studies from the antique’ ( Illustrated Sydney News , 22 January 1890, 22).
