painter, painted a transparency to celebrate the marriage of the Prince of Wales in 1863. When this was hanging outside the Stranger’s Home Coffee Rooms in Melbourne, the Age remarked that it was 'nicely-painted’. As well as the obligatory figures of prince and princess, the design included the entwined flags of England and Denmark and 'a figure of Plenty, and emblems of Commerce and Liberty’, while the motto '“God bless the noble pair, our future King and Queen”, was seen conspicuously’.
