Mrs. Edward C. Bell shared a photographic studio in Bendigo with her husband. Edward Bell is recognised as a photographer, while his wife was a noted photographic colourist and sketcher whose work drew positive acclaim when exhibited at the 1869 Bendigo Fine Arts Exhibtion.
sketcher(?) and photographic colourist, was working with her husband in a photographic studio at Bendigo by 1865. The Bendigo Advertiser considered the coloured 'crayon’ (pastel) sketches she showed at the 1869 Bendigo Fine Arts Exhibition to be 'wonderfully finished and bearing the mark of the true artist’. They may have been coloured photographs.
