photographer and teacher, was born at New Vale, near Lithgow, NSW, on 1 February 1904, daughter of Elizabeth and Robert Dennis. She trained as a teacher at Blackfriars Teachers College, Sydney.
Maude is well remembered for her photography and for doing her own printing until her marriage in 1925. She was an avid photographer and had many opportunities on family holidays and visits; nor was she beyond 'setting up’ her photographs.
