China painter who was a student of Flora Landells in 1931. She was married to a surveyor and during his long trips away she took up china painting to fill the time. In a 1931 exhibition at the Industries Hall in Perth, Nellie’s special cabinet of work was not for sale: “Mrs Landells has ample grounds for congratulations on the very choice specimens of ceramics exhibited by herself and pupils of the Maylands School of Arts (sic). A large showcase entirely filled with specimens of the work of N. M. Lightfoot is to be seen in the entrance lobby of the building: but unlike the majority of the exhibits these pieces are un-priced and for exhibition purposes alone.”
