Nicole Robson, photographer, was born in Horsham, Victoria, and raised in Perth, Western Australia, before moving to Hobart, Tasmania. Robson received her Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in painting and photography in 2007 and Masters of Fine Art in 2012, both from the University of Tasmania.
Working primarily in the medium of photography, Robson has participated in a number of exhibitions, including, Her exhibitions includes Pane, a collaboration with performance group MADE, presented in Hobart (Shop Front Windows), Launceston (Junction 2010) and Brisbane (Under the Radar, Arts Festival). In June 2010, Nicole traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland to participate in 'reGeneration2: tomorrow’s photographers today’, launched at the Musée de l’Elysée, and toured to countries such as China, South Africa, USA, and France.
In January 2011 Nicole received a Marie Edwards Travel scholarship to attend the opening and folio review at the Aperture foundation in New York. This exhibition also included a publication of the same name, printed by Thames and Hudson.
Groups shows: CAST Gallery, Princess, a collaboration presented in the Peacock Theatre Hobart, The Australian Centre for Photography in Sydney and The Edmund Pearce Gallery, Melbourne. Selected as a semifinalist in the Headon Portrait Prize, Sydney (2012).
