Craftworker, was a member of the Society of Arts & Crafts of NSW from 1957 until she died c.2000 (President 1989-91). With Judy Mackinolty, she compiled a useful history of the society in 1991. In the 1980s Nonie became well known for her corn dollies – especially after appearing on TV in 1982 – and in 1983 a WA wheat company commissioned her to make a large corn dolly mounted on jarrah, which was presented to the Governor General. In 1985 and 1990 she won prizes in England for her 'straw craft’ and in 1988 and 1991 won first prize at the Annual Corn Dolly Gathering in Cambridgeshire, UK.
