painter and commercial artist, was born in Melbourne. He worked as an art director in advertising firms in Australia, Canada and the USA before turning to full time painting. In 1945 he shared first prize in the 'Australia at War’ exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. In 1956 he won a bronze medal at the Olympic Arts Festival, Melbourne.
