cartoonist, was born and raised in Brisbane, eldest of the five children of Vince Fogarty, a barrister, and Pat, née Kinnane. She drew regular cartoons – feminist versions of Jules Feiffer’s then popular cartoons – for the University of Queensland student newspaper Semper Floreat in 1960, when it was co-edited by Joan Kerr, then Lyndon. After graduating BA (Hons 1, French), Pat went to France where she worked, married, had a son, Alain, and divorced. For many years she taught English at Grenoble. No cartoons are known since her student days.
