sketcher(?) and travel writer/diarist, was a gentleman relative of the poet Tennyson with properties in South Lincolnshire. He travelled to Van Diemen’s Land in 1832, accompanied by his daughter and son-in-law, then returned home, recording his travels in a journal illustrated with pencil and ink sketches perhaps by his daughter. The manuscript is in the Lincolnshire Archives (microfilmed by Australian Joint Copying Project). He met John Glover in Tasmania and visited everywhere.
