Contemporary cartoonist, radio and TV comedian. Berner's experiences painting an Archibald Prize entry formed the basis of a 2005 ABC television documentary entitled 'Peter Berner's Loaded Brush'.

Cartoonist, painter, radio and TV comedian, illustrated the series The Lighter Side of the News (Redfern NSW: Media Monitors Australia, e.g. vol.3, 1997) – an annual series of silly news items edited by Andrew Dalton. In 2001-2002 Berner had his own satirical TV program about current news, BackBerner , on the ABC.

By mid 2000s he was hosting the ABC’s The Einstein Factor and was a breakfast announcer on the Triple M radio network. The Film Australia television documentary, Peter Berner’s Loaded Brush , broadcast on the ABC in 2005, followed Berner’s efforts to paint an Archibald Prize entry.
