cartoonist, drew 34 original Bulletin cartoons dating from February 1980 to June 1983 + n.d. (Mitchell Library PXD 739). A cartoon about the Gordon below Franklin Dam was included in the 1999 Black and White exhibition at the State Library of New South Wales. 'Meldrum’ also drew a cartoon showing the opera house with arms up to its top sail screaming 'Please NO’ as it contemplates the nearby East Circular Quay development of a wall of buildings in 1997. It was used in the advertisement 'Public Rally Tomorrow at Noon On-the-Steps of the Opera House’, Sydney Morning Herald , 13 February 1997, authorised by John Newland of Northbridge (a school teacher using his salary to fund public protest against the development adjacent to the Opera House).
