Peter van Ketwich has continuously created with clay since his training and throws some of the largest platters and forms amongst potters.

Living in the outer suburbs of Melbourne surrounded by dense ferny bushland, the colors, lines and textures inspire the surface finishes and brushwork.

Peter makes sculptural, functional and semi functional ware sold at artisan markets, Ceramics Fairs and by commission for individuals and garden centres.

Self taught in may skills, Peter is self sufficient and highly skilled in all aspects of ceramics: building and operating ceramic studios and their equipment; glazes, kiln construction and firing, hand building and throwing: welding and construction.

Peter van Ketwich is a renaissance man, a dancer, musician, cook, orator and a natural born teacher.
