cartoonist, began his career as a cadet on the Sydney Morning Herald c.1961 then moved to the Australian . By 1973 he was in London. Stone called him a 'brilliant young caricaturist’.

In 2005 Philip Burgoyne was illustrating technological stories in the Sydney Morning Herald .
