sketcher, was married to the master mariner John Vine Hall . She sketched in pencil and watercolour, some works being initialled 'R.S.H.’. Views of Sydney and Bass Strait were made in 1840-41 when aboard her husband’s ship. Her sketchbook titled Sketches of Sydney and Singapore 1840-1864 (Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, Sydney) contains several views annotated with comments by John correcting her faults or commending her accuracy. Included are informative views of Francis Greenway 's Tudorish fortified buildings at Bennelong Point and Dawes Point in Sydney Harbour, and 'an 'ouse in Sydney’ belonging to the emancipist auctioneer, Samuel Lyons.
