Prolific sculptor and installation artist who studied under Lyndon Dadswell at the National Art School in the early 1960s, Owen has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has been awarded a number of public commissions including sculptural installations for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the New Commonwealth Law Courts in Melbourne (1998) and a public sculpture for the Nippon Exhibition Centre in Chiba, Japan.
