Professional Scottish photographer, who owned a studio in Sydney's CBD in the late nineteenth century, selling his photographs and photographic equipment, before moving to Melbourne in 1870. There is some confusion as to whether Robert had a brother named Richard, also a photographer, or whether they are the same person.
