Roger Foley, better known as Ellis D. Fogg is best known for his special effects and public installations.

Born Cairns, 1942.
From 1966-69 Foley studied art at the National Art School, Sydney, and engineering at the University of NSW. From 1967 he designed and produced the first Australian rock concerts and psychedelic lightshows with Albie Thoms’ Ubu Films. In early 1971 he created the 'WOOM’ exhibition with Vivienne Binns at Watters Gallery, Sydney.
In the Yellow House he was responsible for the Capsule Room and the Mirror Infinity Room as well as experimental work in expanded cinema and cabaret lighting. In 1978 he created the Fogg In Fog environment for sculptor Fujiko Nakaya outside the Art Gallery of New South Wales at the Biennale of Sydney.
In 1985 he created the Starry Night diorama homage to Van Gogh, and later the cubist audio-visual Picasso’s Women at the National Gallery of Victoria.
He designs and produces special events, fantasy and art environments.
