Fashion designer Rosemary Armstrong (b. 1948) launched her label, Tea Rose, in 1981. Armstrong worked in retail at the Squire Shop, Double Bay, Sydney, for eight years before launching her label. Tea Rose is known for its ultra-feminine clothes that are made of luxury fabrics. Armstrong lived and worked at her studio in Yarramalong Valley on the Central Coast of Sydney and commuted several times a week to her retail outlet in Double Bay. Tea Rose debuted at the 1997 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Sydney. An example of Armstrong’s work for her label Tea Rose can be found at the Powerhouse Museum.
