landscape painter, signed an undated oil on canvas View of Sydney taken from The Rocks looking towards the Heads (photographic reproduction, ML). The artist is believed to be connected with the brothers Frederic John and William Montague Rothery who were granted land at Mandurama, New South Wales, in 1832.
