A Luritja speaker, Sally Butler was born at Papunya and started painting when she began the IAD literacy course in 1986. Has connections with the Tjukula community, between Kintore and Docker River near the NT/SA/WA border, but usually worked with the Jukurrpa group in Alice Springs.
