<p></p> <p></p> <p></p>Sam Jinks was born in Australia in 1973 and in 2008 was living and working in Melbourne. <p></p> <p>¶ ¶ Since his first solo exhibition <i>_Distortions</i>_ at West Space in 2005, Jinks has held a number of other solo shows including <i>_Sam Jinks_ </i>at Benalla Art Gallery, Victoria (2006); <i>_Sam Jinks: Recent Sculpture_ </i>at Boutwell Draper Gallery in Sydney (2007); and <i>_Sam Jinks,_ </i>again at West Space (2007).</p> <p>¶ ¶ Jinks has also participated in numerous groups exhibitions, including <i>_Sleeping man</i>_ , Ardwolf Gallery, Melbourne (2000); <i>_Diamonds in the Rough</i>_ , (co-curated by Nadine Christensen and Paul Sloan), Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne (2001); <i>_Baby</i>_ , First Floor Gallery, Melbourne (2002); <i>_Random Access</i>_ , McClelland Gallery & Sculpture Park, Langwarrin, Victoria (2006); <i>_Truth and Likeness</i>_ , National Portrait Gallery, Canberra (2006-07); and <i>_Voiceless</i>_ , curated by Charles Green, at Sherman Galleries, Sydney (2007).</p> <p>¶ ¶ Jinks's work can be found in the McClelland Gallery & Sculpture Park, Langwarrin and in various private collections across Australia. In 2008 Jinks will be exhibiting with Karen Woodbury Gallery for the first time.</p> <p></p> <p></p>
