Place of birth Murnunyu c.1916. His language/tribe was Warlpiri and he lived at Lajamanu. His Country was Murnunyu and Dreamings, Wampana (wallaby), Karlajirdi, Yawakiyi, Lukarrara. He was the father of Rex Patterson (though for reasons too intricate to explain, they have the same skin name). He started painting 1986.
