painter and cartoonist, signed a one-off comic strip about slaves 'An old story retold’ published in Lone Hand 12 (February 1912), 314. He also drew cartoons for the Bulletin , e.g. Possum Hunting in the Future (by plane) 1914 (ill. King II, 94). Syd Sullivan married Grace Burns , another cartoonist, in Mosman, NSW, in 1912. 'Mrs Syd Sullivan, Tryon Road, Lindfield’ (obscured) appears as the address on the verso of an original Bulletin cartoon by Burns (ML), published 1926. Syd’s cartoon doesn’t look at all like Grace Burns’s.
