professional photographer, son of Thomas Chuck, was in partnership with his father in 1901 when they advertised in Ballarat and District in 1901 (Periodical Publishing Company, Melbourne, 1901), p.202: 'T.H. Chuck, father & son 40 years at Royal Arcade Melb and 20 years at Sturt Street, Ballarat’. The frontespiece of the book was a full page photograph by Chuck, 'King Billy of Ballarat: A descendant of the original owners of the soil’.
