Several of the Dunera Boys, wartime refugees interned at Hay, NSW, (i.e. Frederick Schonbach, Erwin Fabian and Klaus Friedeberger) worked as cartoonists and illustrators, reputedly for the Australasian Post in 1945-46 when the art editor was Alan McCulloch, along with Albert Tucker and McCulloch himself.
