photographer, gave his address as Bourke Street East, Melbourne, when he exhibited a set of photographs of colonial scenery at the 1861 Victorian Exhibition. Although presumably taken by him, these had been coloured by George Alexander Gilbert . Mr Ford who coloured portraits with watercolour for Thomas Church in 1876 was probably the artist William Ford.
