photographer, gave his address as Bourke Street East, Melbourne, when he exhibited a set of photographs of colonial scenery at the 1861 Victorian Exhibition. Although presumably taken by him, these had been coloured by George Alexander Gilbert. Mr Ford who coloured portraits with watercolour for Thomas Church in 1876 was probably the artist William Ford.
