professional photographer and colourist, was in partnership with Alexander Brodie in 1867 at 200 Pitt Street, Sydney. In 1870 Thomas Rice, of the Sydney suburb of Burwood, was officially commended by the jury for his 'coloured photographs, miniatures’ in the Sydney Intercolonial Exhibition.
