Born at Yarturla-yarturla (the Granites mine) c.1945, his language/tribe is Warlpiri and he lives at Lajamanu. His country is Yumurrpa and his Dreamings are Janganpa (Possum) and Ngapa. He works with his wife Pampirriya Nungarrayi Burns, and started painting in 1986.
