painter, designer and illustrator, born England; Dip Art Swinburne Technical College, 1955-59; socio-realist who won the McCaughey Memorial Prize, National Gallery of Victoria, 1966 with a figurative painting, Uncle John’s 1919 Homecoming . Combines painting with graphic design and book design and illustration. In 1982-83 was artist-in-residence with the Victorian Trades Hall, comissioned to depict life on the workshop floor. Published sketchbook of Melbourne in 1981.
