For much of his life Tony Tuckson's reputation was as the Assistant Director of he Art Gallery of New South Wales, passionately advocating for Aboriginal art. It was only near the end of his life that the wider arts community realised that he was an artist of great significance.

An NGA touring exhibition – toured nationally including AGSA, Brisbane City Gallery, Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Heide. The first major survey exhibition of Tuckson’s work since 1976 which offers a reappraisal of this important and largely unknown 20th century Australian artist.
