After much community preparation, April 25 2015 marked the Inaugural Balaclava Megafauna Parade, a community action retracing the steps of megafauna in the region utilizing the debris of william street cardboard apocalypse.
This project was initiated by pink william under the facilitation of Brendan Bensky, Tunni Kraus and Shelley Krycer.
A collaboration between, Brendan Bensky, Tunni Kraus and ronch willner, Domain, despite it’s surface diversity, is an installation deeply contextualised within the substructure frameworks of the internet. As a assemblage of chaotic new media works, the eleven internet domains that comprise this work call upon traditions of cut and paste, mashup and glitch, and present theft and innovation as a seamless surface.
A collaboration between Tunni Kraus and ronch wilner, Press Hash is a seditious version of Yoko Ono’s telephone piece, it connects participants to a teleprompter system that narrates ‘a choose your own adventure’ by providing prompts to personal responses. Press Hash tests the boundaries of aesthetic human exchange and questions the value of the absence of face-to-face communication.
Isaiah’s Prophecy, car bomb and plough is a muliti-user installation that celebrates the inherent timelessness of collective sound generation. Utilising a repurposed car body, the installation permits the carved physical prayers to act as a framework for a participatory, audience led experimentation. Evoking a post-apocalyptic sensibility, the unpredictability of the work suggests the potential of a communal music machine.
