sketcher, brother of the South Australian government architect George Thomas Light, came to South Australia in the William Hyde in 1849. From that year date his earliest surviving sketches such as Port Adelaide, Showing Sailing Ships and Station on the Bremer . All his known drawings (private collection) were done around Adelaide and Lake Alexandrina, including Police Barracks, Adelaide, from the Park Lands 1855 , Wellington Church (1851) and Wellington Ferry (1852).
