Wanda Miller is a descendant of the Gugatha people of South Australia and also has family connections to the people of Maralinga and Yalata. She grew up in the Koonibba Children’s Home run by the Lutheran Church, but during school holidays she was allowed to return home to family.
Miller was associated with the Ceduna Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Centre where she painted onto silk. It was through this association that she exhibited her work in the Adelaide Festival Centre’s 2007 'Our Mob’ exhibition. In 2008 Miller stopped working at the Ceduna centre and moved into Eco-Tourism.
