A Warlpiri speaker, and daughter of Bessie and Paddy Sims , Wendy Nungarrayi Sims lives in Yuendumu. She paints Ngalkirdi (Witchetty Grub), Wanakiji (Bush Plum) and Yanjylpiri (Star) Dreamings. Her work was included in Yuendumu: Paintings out of the Desert at the South Australian Museum in 1988 and the Women s Exhibition at the Women’s Gallery in Melbourne in 1990 and in 1992 at Warlukurlangu Artists’ exhibitions in Melbourne, Hobart and Sydney.
