painter, was catalogued as showing two watercolour landscapes in the August 1863 exhibition at the Ballarat Mechanics Institute: Cromwell’s Bridge, County Cork and On the Yarra , both lent by Browne & Reid. The Melbourne and Irish subjects suggest that the name was a misspelling of Whitehead .
