professional photographer, was recorded at 53 Crown Street, Sydney in 1868. This may be the English photographer W. Howson (sic), who was at New Market Street, Blackburn, Yorkshire in January 1860 when an engraving after his photograph of a burning cotton mill was published in the Illustrated London News.
