Signed work as 'WOG’, acknowledged as Sapper Green W.O./HQRAE/9 Aust. 28/9/44 on back of original cartoon at Mitchell Library PX*DY66/78. 'Wog’ also drew cartoons for the Bulletin , including “Of course, Miss, we don’t show these to everybody” 1944 (hotel manager displaying a book of 'Hotel Rules’), “Can I help it if I whistle in my sleep?” (man in hotel bed covered with dogs) 1944, “Two, please!” (sailor taking a River Caves funfair ride with a girl and an anchor) 1944.

Not to be confused with the wartime Sapper W. (William Ellis) Green , subsequently 'WEG”.
