professional photographer, was first listed as a resident photographer at Dunolly, Victoria, in a local directory for 1867 yet had been working in the district much earlier. In 1861 he reported his photographic equipment stolen from outside his tent at the Mountain Creek diggings (now Moonambel) near Dunolly; in 1866 he had a studio on Broadway, Dunolly. He was still listed there in 1870.
